Fortunately for me I came from a family that was thriving on creativity from Generations. A creative inclination showed in childhood traits itself, whether it was writing or appreciating art or being exposed to music or cinema. I grew up in an extremely charged atmosphere full of talent and freedom of expression. My parents and sister insisted that I take up painting seeing a very good hand at a young age. I would have rather done child psychology or pursued literature. Going to Sir J.J School of art was a dream come true. But unfortunately I could not survive the orthodox methods that were being imposed onto me .I disagreed and quit collage to find my own calling and exhibited my works at Kala Ghoda only to my surprise. It was a complete sell out and I got tremendous support and appreciation from the art world. From then on there was no looking back.

As time passes an individual’s outlook and experience of life changes also. I think for me my process or my journey in one word is ‘Evolution’. When I look back I feel I have come miles ahead not only in my work but also as an individual and have miles ahead to go...
